Audrey Lamkin Hock (1910-1971) graduated from Caldwell High School in 1928. She was a business woman, accountant, restaurant manager and a community minded individual. She served as President and many other capacities on the CHS Alumni Board after its post WWII revival.

In 1967, she was presented an award in honor of her tireless efforts on the Alumni Board. Since then, the Audrey Lamkin Hock Memorial Award has been given in her memory to those whose unselfish service has personified the spirit and tradition of the CHS Alumni Association.

The Alumni Board puts together a nominating committee to choose recipients of this award, and announces the winner during the Homecoming Banquet on Saturday night.

This year’s honored recipient is Kathie Keown Henton, Class of 1971. She served on the Alumni Board for several years and has since been a constant promoter of all things Homecoming & Alumni.

She joined the Alumni Board in the late 1970s and served as Corresponding Secretary and First Vice President. As First Vice President she was in charge of the Annual Banquet. While Corresponding Secretary, she hand wrote all the alumni addresses for the yearly mailer. She also helped create the Alumni database for contact information of all Alumni, which also meant no more hand-writing addresses!

The Caldwell High School Alumni Association Board is proud to present this year’s Audrey Lampkin Hock Memorial Award to Kathie Henton. We appreciate everything she has done and continues to do to promote all things CHS Homecoming!
